The forward injured his left knee early in February during a home game against Utah. It was the second year in a row that he received a season-ending injury.
In the 23 games he played this past season, Boatwright averaged 13.6 points and 6.4 assists per game. As a sophomore he played in 19 games before getting injured, averaging 15.1 points. In 33 games during his freshman year, he averaged 11.5 points.
Despite personal and team adversity, the big-man has high hopes for the upcoming season. I sat down with Boatwright earlier this week to talk about his decision to stay, injuries, and the upcoming season.
