Millennials make up the largest population in California, but less than 25 percent actually turn out to vote in the Golden State. California's Secretary of State, Alex Padilla, is hoping to change that. He recently launched a campaign encouraging young people to vote in hopes of increasing voter registration and turnout throughout the state.

Today, the secretary spoke at Sylmar High School where he encouraged high school students — including those who are not yet 18-years-old — to get a head start on registration.
