With a history of dismal voter turnout in local elections, officials from cities around L.A. County are seeking to increase participation in the March 7 elections.

West Hollywood is one of the cities pushing for better turnout in this election. The city is hosting several pop-up voter registration events to register voters before the February 21 deadline and inform them about the upcoming election.

But these methods of voter outreach might be lost on the many prospective voters who think that their voice doesn't matter or that local politics aren't worth their time.
