The California rain has flooded many locations, but it hasn't dampened the Universal Studios Hollywood visitor's energy and enthusiasm. If you were born in 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005 or 2017, this is your year to celebrate the Year of the Rooster at the theme park. The Rooster is known for honesty, flamboyancy and energy.

Golden Chinese lion statues greeted guests at the pavilion entrance along with Woody Wood pecker, who donned festive attire. Swarms of yellow ponchos and blue Universal Studios umbrellas gathered under an array of red lanterns, a massive plum tree arch and nearby cherry blossom trees — a photo opportunity not to be missed. From the winter-esque Wizarding World of Harry Potter, to the Simpson's Springfield, guests enjoyed what the park has to offer more intimately, having no crowds or lines to wait in.

DreamWorks Animation's "Kung Fu Panda" stars, Po and Tigress, make their first ever appearance, along with a Mandarin-speaking Megatron. If you're looking for something festive to do while celebrating Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rooster can be experienced until Feb. 5 at Universal.
