According to the International Rescue Committee, each Syrian refugee receives a one-time payment of around $1,100 when they arrive in the U.S. Housing in Los Angeles. Because of the high cost of living in Los Angeles, some refugees deal with financial problems after fleeing a war-torn nation. Juliet Muir spoke with some refugees about the financial burden of starting a new life.
