After a long two week Spring Break hiatus, The Buzz was back in session on Thursday. This week our hosts Stephanie Haney, Will Farnsworth and Sophie Flay tackled much more than just celebrity gossip as they delivered the most buzz-worthy topics of the week from the political trail to the Final Four basketball court.
But first up our three hosts discussed the topics they knew best in the Hollywood Hot Second. From Rihanna's steamy new music video (heads up this one is definitely NSFW) to McCarthy Quad for a Springfest lineup, to a breakdown of the latest Lakers drama, catch up on the biggest in Hollywood this week.
In "This Week in Politics," Nick Alfano channeled his inner John Oliver to deliver us our political update the old fashioned way, from the news desk. Learn more about some of the darker issues and tactics featured on the campaign trail this year including violence, prejudice, and a bit of mudslinging to name a few.
On the lighter side, our guest this week was Monique Madrid, a comedienne and founder of the stand-up comedy show, Two Girls One Pup. In this exclusive interview she spoke candidly about the trials facing women in the comedy industry and gave us the inside scoop on why she chose to feature "man's best friend" in her girl-powered show.
ICYMI: Lady Gaga, known to her loyal fans as Mother Monster, celebrated her birthday last week. In honor of the platinum selling music artist, Dustin Sloane delivered a Trojan Trivia featuring the best and worst of Gaga's Garments.
Switching gears from the campus grounds to the NCAA basketball courts, our resident fashion expert Morgan Evans was joined by Sophie Flay to fill us in on the best of Final Four Fashion. The Final Four kicked off on Saturday April, 2 and though Morgan's beloved Syracuse could not hold off UNC, we're sure she was dressed in her best orange, vintage tee.
In other fashion news, LA Fashion Week was held in Columbia Square Park, Hollywood from March 16th-20th. Check out the best looks from the shows and find out what inspired two of Fashion Week's best and brightest.
Finally, it was a big week and weekend for USC students across campus. In this week's USCene, Drew Shwendiman is telling you what events you cannot afford to miss including a couple of film festivals, an all-star music lineup, and an Oscar winning movie screening.
